Cedar Springs School District — Information

The Cedar Springs school district has years of tradition within its community, but is eager to find the best solutions to the challenges of today. The district is comprised of one preschool, four elementary schools, a middle school, high school and alternative high school. At the beginning of the 2009-10 school year, the grade availability for each school will be reconfigured so that all the students in each grade will attend the same school. Here’s the breakdown:

• Pre-K, K, 1st Grade: Cedar Trails Elementary
• 2nd & 3rd: Beach Elementary
• 4th & 5th: Cedar View Elementary
• 6th: Red Hawk Elementary (secondary schedule)
• 7th & 8th: Cedar Springs Middle School (secondary schedule)
• 9th – 12th: Cedar Springs High School (secondary schedule), New Beginnings Alternative High School (secondary schedule)

The schools will continue to emphasize parental involvement, community improvement and opportunities for excellence in extracurricular activities including Student Council, Spelling Bee, Band, Geography Bee, Musicals and athletics.
